#motivationmonday -224lbs 👇 since January 1st, 2016! Found some old pictures on my old phone today. Picture on the left was about 2 years ago before I even was at my heaviest weight. I no longer enjoyed the beach as much & it's my favorite place. I wasn't able to be as active & walk all the way down the shore with my husband, & I no longer was comfortable in a bathing suit in front of others. I wasn't living the fun adventerous life I wanted in my 20's & at the beginning of 2016 I said enough was enough & fought for my life. No surgery, pills, trainer, or anything like that. Just me working hard on myself & my goals everyday. You can change your life, 1lb at a time. 💪 #weightloss #florida #beach #fit #fitfam #transform #motivation #gym #fitnessmotivation #life #health #diet #nutrition #goals #selfimprovement #fattofit #fitspo #transformationtuesday #strong #losingweight #weightlossjourney #cardio #gains #plussize #effyourbeautystandards #obesetobeast #anytimefitness #noexcuses #eatclean

Lexi and her husband Danny decided to take a weight-loss journey together.  Now, one year later, they've lost nearly 300 pounds.

"We traded in our lazy nights on the couch, eating terrible foods & binge watching netflix for the gym & healthy meals," Lexi writes on Instagram. She says in the year since they began their weight-loss journey, they are different people—not just physically, but also mentally. "We are stronger, closer, & will live longer healthier lives together. This journey isn't always easy, but it's so worth it."

#transformationtuesday -274lbs down since January 1st together for this married couple total & counting! -224lbs for me & -50lbs for him! My favorite thing about this picture is i'm wearing his shirt in the current photo because it's now too big for him. Also, the fact of how much happier we look. In 1 year we have become completely different people mentally & physically. We are stronger, closer, & will live longer healthier lives together. This journey isn't always easy, but it's so worth it. Surround yourself only with those who lift you higher. ❤ #weightloss #goals #fit #swolemate #fitcouple #fitfam #fitspo #mealprep #eatclean #gym #workout #losingweight #instafit #weightlossjourney #transform #extremeweightloss #noexcuses #grind #hustle #love #married #nodaysoff #anytimefitness #workout #exercise #motivation #naturalweightloss #traintogetherstaytogether

It all began by not eating out, partying or having cheat meals for the first 30 days, Lexi told local news station WHTI-TV. After the initial shift, it became more than a resolution and instead her new lifestyle.

After losing the first 100 pounds through diet and exercise, Lexi began to chronicle her journey on Instagram. Her story has since gone viral and @fatgirlfedup now has more than 50,000 followers.

I've changed so much in just a few short months. The girl on the left was at rock bottom, could no longer do daily easy tasks, and didn't recognize herself anymore. The girl on the right feels confident, pretty, happy again, enjoys being active & adventurous & is getting closer to her goals everyday! I know I can do this & i'm not giving up. Anyone can lose weight & change their life ? you just have to try. #weightlosstransformation #workingonmyfitness #fitness #fitfam #obesetobeast #beforeandafter #fuckbeingfat #health #foodporn #fitspiration #fitspo #lifestyle #gym #gymlife #goals #weightlossdiary #weightloss #weightlossjourney #weightlifting #change #motivation #inspiration #obesity #fat #torrid #lanebryant #obesetobeastarmy #overweight

Through photos and videos, Lexi shares her progress, recipes and inspirational tips. It is part of her goal to encourage others who are on the same journey.

“I just hope that if they do come to my page they can find inspiration, they can find somebody to say it's possible,” she said. “You don't have to have surgery, you don't have to pay crazy amounts of money just to eat healthy or to have a trainer. Just move, start walking, all those things are just going to make a difference.”

Lexi says 2016 was one of the greatest years of her life and she has now applied to go back to school for food and nutrition "to help others change their lives the same way I have."

#motivationmonday I was just a girl fedup with being overweight & making your typical New Years Resolution to lose it. I quickly learned how strong & capable I actually was & it turned into a lifestyle. It's hitting me hard that this year is almost over & in 353 days i've lost 218lbs. Losing weight has completely changed my life. From 485lbs to 267lbs i'm not the same person I was. I have literally worked my butt off for a year consistently. There are no short cuts to weightloss, just hardwork, diet, & exercise. I'm not where I want to be yet, but i've sure come alot closer than last year. Change your mind, change your life.
