Woman Wins Free Pizza For A Year, Decides To Donate It To A Local Shelter

A young Detroit woman named Hannah Spooner is in the news after winning a year's worth of free pizza. Why is that such a big deal, you ask?

The 19-year-old won a year's supply of Little Caeser's pizza valued at $500. (That's her with her boyfriend Peter Kadri.) Rather than keep it all to herself, she decided to donate the prize to a local homeless youth facility, Covenant House Michigan.

"Detroit is going through a lot of negativity," Spooner said. "I wanted somewhere close to home that would be affected by my donation." Plus, as Spooner joked to Inside Edition, she recently lost weight and eating a lot of pizza wasn't going to help her maintain that.

The shelter already serves three meals a day, so the daily pizza will be an added treat.
