This Little Boy’s Request For A Haircut Has Gone Viral For An Adorable Reason

Sometimes best friends are so close it seems as though they only differ in appearance. Their clothes, their hobbies, their mannerisms can all be nearly identical—and that is certainly the case for Jax and Reddy.

According to a Facebook post, when 5-year-old Jax's mom, Lydia Stith Rosebush, suggested Jax get a haircut, he wasn't just OK with the idea—he actually had a plan of his own.

“He said that he wanted his head shaved really short so he could look like his friend Reddy,” Rosebush wrote on Facebook. “He said he couldn't wait to go to school on Monday with his hair like Reddy's so that his teacher wouldn't be able to tell them apart.”

Very tricky, this Jax fellow!

Jax is pictured on the left, and Reddy on the right. From their festive pops of red to their khaki pants, these two really are quite the pair! Now, if only they had matching haircuts…

“He thought it would be so hilarious to confuse his teacher with the same haircut,” she continued. “If this isn't proof that hate and prejudice is something that is taught I don't know what is. The only difference Jax sees in the two of them is their hair.”

The Facebook post has since gone viral, garnering over 80,000 likes at the time of publication. Because, clearly, folks can't get enough of these two best friends.

And for good reason! Not only are the little boys absolutely adorable, but the post also proves a very important point. “It's about friendship and love and the innocence of children,” Rosebush told ABC 7.

There are over 4,000 comments on the post, most commending the kindness and unconditional loved displayed between the friends.

“Aww if only the world could see what these kids see,” one person wrote. Because, indeed, some adults could stand to learn a little something from children.
