You probably know Ashton Kutcher from “That ’70s Show,” “Punk’d” or “Two and a Half Men.” Or perhaps you remember when he was Mr. Demi Moore or know him better as Mr. Mila Kunis.
Kutcher’s come a long way from his humble beginnings in the Midwest, and there’s a lot you may not know about this multitalented star.
He Dated January Jones Before She Was Famous
Before January Jones became famous as Betty Draper on the TV show “Mad Men,” she was a young actress with a well-known boyfriend: Ashton Kutcher. The couple dated from 1998 to 2001, and some believe that Kutcher is the ex-boyfriend who wasn’t supportive of her acting career. In 2009, Jones told GQ, “The guy I was dating when I first got to L.A. was not supportive of my acting … He was like, ‘I don’t think you’re going to be good at this.’ So — f*ck you! He only has nice things to say now.”
His Real Name Is Christopher Ashton Kutcher
Born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Ashton Kutcher was known as “Chris” as a kid. He dropped his first name and started going by his more unique middle name when he began pursuing acting and modeling jobs as a teenager. At 20 years old, he moved to Los Angeles after landing a role on “That ’70s Show.”
He Did Mila Kunis’ Chemistry Homework
Although he played the not-so-bright Kelso on “That ’70s Show,” in real life, Kutcher had been a biochemical engineering major at the University of Iowa. He Has A Twin Brother
Ashton’s fraternal twin brother, Michael Kutcher, was born with cerebral palsy. Ashton spoke about his brother while accepting Drake University’s Robert D. Ray Pilliar of Character Award in 2017.
“I was born a twin and from the moment I came into this world, I had to share it with someone,” he said in his speech. “I shared every birthday, every Christmas, I shared my bedroom, I shared my clothes, I shared everything I had in this world and I didn’t know that there was another way because I always had my brother with me.”
He Got Over His Divorce In An Unusual Way
After splitting from Demi Moore (to whom he was married for eight years), Kutcher mourned the breakup by spending a week alone in Montana and fasting.

I was there by myself, so there was no talking. I just had a notepad, a pen and water and tea — for a week.”

Kutcher credits his experience as a Boy Scout with helping him become the person he is today. He tweeted his support of the youth program becoming more inclusive and changing their name to the Scouts BSA.
