I have always enjoyed styling my hair in various knots, braids and ponies. But now, as a mom faced with two more heads to "do," I find the task of a simple ponytail challenging. Squirmy toddlers require skilled hands to deliver quick and cute hair.
When Colorado-based dad Greg Wickherst struggled to get his daughter Izzy's hair into a ponytail he knew he needed help. As he told Huffington Post: "Hair has definitely not been my thing."
But, finding himself newly split from Izzy's mom, he realized hair had to become his thing. Instead of just reaching for Google, he reached for higher hair heights, and asked for help in a big way.
Greg, an admissions representative at IntelliTec College, visited his school's cosmetology department and asked the students for help. âIn no time, I was able to do a simple braid, then a fishbone braid, and a French braid. I learned how to do a ponytail, then flip it through itself either under or over. I call that an inverted ponytail,â he said.
Since those initial lessons, Izzy's hairstyles have gotten cuter and more elaborate.
Luckily, we can all benefit from Greg's skills.  He shares Izzy's awesome hair styles and even how-to videos on his Facebook page. Just look at this mohawk and bow bun!
