Nicholas Sparks's first published novel, "The Notebook," has been setting the bar high for romantic expectations ever since it was published 20 years ago.
While 20 years may seem like a long time ago, Clemma and Sterling Elmore's love started decades before the release of the novel. In fact, they just celebrated their 57th marriage anniversary. To honor this milestone, the Elmore's commemorated their anniversary with a photoshoot inspired by "The Notebook" that frankly gives Noah and Allie a run for their money.
Stacy Welch-Christ of Mary Evelyn Photography took the photos, and they are truly a precious snapshot of the Elmore's enduring love for each other.
The idea of a "The Notebook"-inspired photoshoot stemmed from Clemma's love for the movie, and was organized by their granddaughter. Since the photo shoot's debut on September 3 on Mary Evelyn Photography's Facebook page, the photos have received thousands of likes and shares.
The Elmores took Clemma's love of "The Notebook" a step further by actually creating their own notebook. Within the notebook, they exchanged love notes to one another, along with pictures documenting their 57 years of marriage. The notes had sweet messages such as:
"You are my life and my true love. Love you always and forever," and "You are God's gift to me and I love you."
According to A Plus, Clemma elaborated on their love story, stating, "When I met Sterling? we knew we loved each other immediately. Sterling is the sweetest loving person I've ever met. We tell each other that we love each other at least 10 times a day, and that is what I wanted. He said that when he saw me, he knew I was the one."
Thank you Clemma and Sterling Elmore for sharing your inspiring love story. Noah and Allie would be proud!
