From romantic proposals on the beach to celebratory engagements involving friends and family, wedding bells will be ringing soon enough for these famous figures.

After two years of dating, Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez announced their engagement on Instagram in March. The former baseball star popped the question on the beach during a vacation in the Bahamas. “She said yes,” Rodriguez captioned a photo of Lopez, who was wearing her stunning diamond ring as he held her hand.

Lopez also shared the photo below of the picturesque proposal. Considering how extravagant Lopez’s 50th birthday party was, their nuptials are sure to be incredible.

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom had an extra-special Valentine’s Day. The longtime couple celebrated the romantic holiday with an engagement, which they each revealed on Instagram later. Both stars shared a close-up photo of the two of them, with Perry’s unique flower-shaped diamond ring on full display. 

Jennifer Lawrence And Cooke Maroney


Jennifer Lawrence sparked rumors of a possible engagement to boyfriend Cooke Maroney earlier this year when she was spotted wearing a “massive ring” on her finger. In February, Lawrence’s rep confirmed that the two were indeed engaged. Though details of their engagement have been kept private, the couple, who began dating in summer 2018, hosted a celebratory party in New York in March. 

Tim Tebow And Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters


Tim Tebow and Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters kicked off 2019 with an engagement, which they announced in January. The former NFL quarterback proposed to Nel-Peters at sunset at his family’s farm outside of Jacksonville, Florida, according to People. He secretly flew in Nel-Peters’ family and closest friends from South Africa to celebrate the occasion and also arranged for South African singer Matthew Mole to perform one of their favorite songs, “The Wedding Song.”

Chris Pratt And Katherine Schwarzenegger


Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger have had a very busy year, getting engaged and then married in a matter of months. In January, Pratt announced on Instagram that Schwarzenegger had accepted his proposal.

“Sweet Katherine, so happy you said yes!” he wrote, alongside a photo of the two of them embracing. “I’m thrilled to be marrying you. Proud to live boldly in faith with you. Here we go!”

The two officially became husband and wife just six months later, tying the knot in an intimate ceremony at San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, California.

Scarlett Johansson And Colin Jost


Scarlett Johansson is set to walk down the aisle. The actress, who has been married twice before, is now engaged to “Saturday Night Live” star Colin Jost. The couple has been dating for two years. Though Johansson’s rep confirmed their engagement in June, fans didn’t lay eyes on the stunning 11-carat ring until the Marvel star’s appearance at Comic-Con in late July. 

Sarah Hyland And Wells Adams 


Sometimes, sliding into someone’s DMs can end in “I do!” Sarah Hyland famously reached out to boyfriend-turned-fiancé Wells Adams over Twitter in 2017. The two began dating that fall and have been going strong ever since, as evidenced by the multitude of adorable photos they’ve shared on Instagram. Adams officially popped the question in July. The sweet moment was captured in a picture posted to Instagram by both Adams and Hyland, the latter of whom added the caption, “That can’t eat, can’t sleep, reach for the stars, over the fence, world series kind of stuff.”

Another soon-to-be-married celebrity couple is singer Chris Lane and former “Bachelor” star Lauren Bushnell. The two got engaged this June. The country artist proposed to Bushnell in the backyard of her family’s Oregon home with a song he wrote for her, “Big, Big Plans.” Bushnell later shared a photo of the moment on Instagram, writing in part, “I feel so incredibly blessed that every misstep, mistake and heartache has led me to you.” 

Rooney Mara And Joaquin Phoenix


Joaquin Phoenix and Rooney Mara are engaged after over three years of dating. The couple first fell in love in 2016 while filming the movie “Mary Magdalene.” Rumors of an engagement began circulating in May 2019, when Mara was spotted wearing a diamond ring on her left hand. The rumors were confirmed by Us Weekly in July.

Last summer, the actress announced she was pregnant with their first child together (making Luca, Duff’s first child with ex-husband Mike Comrie, a big brother). 

Duff made the happy announcement about their engagement in May, sharing a photo of the two smiling while she shows off her ring.

Wedding bells will soon be ringing for Brittany Snow and Tyler Stanaland. In February, the “Pitch Perfect” star announced on Instagram that she was engaged to her boyfriend. The actress shared a sweet black and white photo of the couple sharing a kiss while having dinner at a restaurant.

“A couple weeks ago, I said ‘YES’ about a million times to the man of my wildest & most beautiful dreams,” Snow wrote in the caption. “After celebrating with friends and family, we wanted to let a few more friends (you guys) know… this happened.”

National Women’s Soccer League stars Ali Krieger and Ashlyn Harris are engaged, as the couple confirmed to People in March. Though the two have been together for nearly a decade — having first connected while playing for the U.S. National Team — they have resisted publicly addressing their relationship over the years in order to avoid distracting from their team. 

“We wanted to be professional and make sure that we showed up every day and did our job and it wasn’t just because we were together, it was because we love what we do, and we’re really good at what we do,” Krieger says. “And that was most important for us.”

The two will reportedly get married later this year.

In July, Bindi Irwin shared the news that she’s engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Chandler Powell. The conservationist posted photos of the proposal on Instagram, in which she and Powell share a sweet hug, and Irwin gave a close-up look at her stunning engagement ring. Powell popped the question on Irwin’s 21st birthday, as she revealed in the caption, writing, “On my birthday I said ‘yes’ & ‘forever’ to the love of my life. JJ Watt confirmed his engagement to soccer player Kealia Ohai, in March. The couple, who first met through Watt’s former teammate and future brother-in-law, Brian Cushing, dated for three years prior to the proposal. Watt posted several portraits of their special day, in which the couple embraces in front of a picturesque sunset.

“I’m the luckiest man in the world. #SheSaidYes,” Watt wrote alongside the images.

Issa Rae and boyfriend Louis Diame also got engaged this year. The news was confirmed by her “Insecure” costars Jay Ellis and Yvonne Orji during the NAACP Image Awards in March. Rae herself has yet to publicly comment on the status of her relationship, although she was spotted wearing a diamond ring on her Essence magazine cover.

Don Lemon is engaged to real estate agent Tim Malone. The “CNN Tonight” anchor revealed the news in April, sharing that Malone popped the question on his own birthday.
